Center for Autism & Related Disabilities at the University of South Florida

The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay is set up to respond to the needs of victims of sexual assault, sexual violence, rape, domestic violence, and other related traumas. The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay takes health insurance but also offers its VOCA program for support when health insurance is not available. Contact the counseling center at (813) 264-9955.
 Additional Client Services Provided by the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay

  • Free crisis counseling along with useful information and referral to over 3,500 community resources. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Dial 2-1-1 or visit the website at www.211atyourfingertips.org.
  • Specialized trauma counseling and therapy for children, adults, and families who have experienced abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, recent loss of a loved one, or any type of emotional trauma.
  • Forensic examinations, crisis counseling, and advocacy for victims of sexual assault.
  • Case management and financial counseling for families with children.
  • Telephone reassurance calls and daily safety checks for low-income, socially-isolated elderly and disabled adults.
  • Travelers aid provides assistance and intervention services at the Tampa International Airport to families and individuals who are in crisis, stranded, or disconnected from their support systems.
  • Suicide prevention and support for at-risk individuals and their families.
  • Psychological testing including AD(H)D testing, gifted testing, standard intelligence testing, personality testing, and depression/anxiety/mental health testing.

No limited enrollment period for these programs. If you qualify, you or a family member can enroll immediately. Find information here at HealthCare.gov

Also important to note: Your children could qualify for coverage through CHIP, even if you don’t qualify for Medicaid.
