We recognize the unique challenges faced by returning military personnel and their families have increased the demand for behavioral health and other intensive services in Florida and nationally.

Call the Florida Veterans Support Line toll-free at 1-844-MYFLVET (693-5838) today and receive:

* Comprehensive information & referral to VA-funded
services & hundreds of community-based services

* Assistance and support provided by a peer who has
experienced the transition from military back to civilian life

* Care Coordination services including system navigation,
advocacy and ongoing support

Five-County Veterans Hotline

01_Sailors_open_an_American_flag_before_a_Naval_Support_Activity_Souda_Bay_Memorial_Day_event_1_The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay has launched a toll-free help line to provide emotional support and resource referrals to veterans in a five-county area. Service covers Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, and Manatee counties. The hotline is staffed by veterans.

Any veteran needing help or information can call 844.693.5838 between 7 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Friday. After hours and weekend calls will be answered by specialists in the Crisis Center’s 2-1-1 call center. Please pass the word along to those who may need it.

 

 

 

Triple-Header for Education and Veterans

 

Band_of_Brothers,_101st_in_IraqWe’re changing it up for November 2014. In the 11th month of this year NAMI Pasco is offering a triple dose of community activism with mental health awareness in mind. Please be our guest for a big night of education focused  on veterans along with the Annual NAMI Pasco Membership Meeting and a meal. The evening will include a spaghetti dinner thanks to our compassionate and knowing community partner: Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 2284.
